The Collector movie (2009)

Two days ago, I rented The Collector, a horror film that came out in 2009. Im ready to give my thoughts.

If your a fan of the Saw movies, you'll love this film. It's like Home alone and Saw mixed up together in a blender. This is like the Saw movies so much in fact, thats what I thought of as soon as you see the first kill. Now in this generation, we have a new popular genre of horror movies known as the torture genre. Well this film is no different. It has a lot of BRUTAL torture scenes. This film didnt scare me, it made me shocked and I think thats the main goal for horror movies these days. If all you wanna see is some brutal torture scenes with a real crappy story and plot, this is for you. However, as entertaining as this movie is, it is just flat out ST00PID!

First of all, the producers get WAY too carried away with the traps in this film. It starts out with a thief breaking into a wealthy family's house. He goes to the safe with ease and absolutly no problems. When he hears the killer coming however, suddenly the WHOLE house is covered with dozens of advanced traps it would take days to make! The Collector made a trap where if you pick up a pair of scirrors, you FLY against a wall with spikes in it!!!..........yeah. Pretty st00pid huh? It's rather ridiculous that the thief brought tons of advanced equipment to break in to the safe but he didnt bring a CELL PHONE! He could have saved the entire family if he just brought a cell phone and called 911! SO ST00PID!

In conclusion, this film is entertaining ana brutal, but it's also ridiculously dumb. If YOU seen The Collector, give me your opinion in the comment section. If you have'nt, check it out!
